Pork with Applesauce
Ingredients:
-2 lbs pork tenderloin, cut in steaks
-2 cups white cooking wine
- 4 Granny Smith apples, cut in slices and without seeds
- 2 tsp fresh rosemary
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 2 tbsp sweet cream
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Directions:
Place apples with wine in a deep frying pan and cook them until soft. Drain apples and reserve the broth. Melt butter in a frying pan, add oil and fry pork until golden brown. Add apple broth to the pork and cook covered, low heat, until the meat is very tender, then take pork from the pan and place on a plate. Add salt, pepper and sweet cream to the pan where you fried pork, stir and let it boil without further stirring. Dissolve cornstarch in lemon juice, add it to the sauce, bring to boil again and season with your favorite seasoning. Serve the sauce on top of pork; decorate with apple slices and fresh rosemary
